Empowerment of Marginalized Communities (E-MAC) Tanzania, a registered non- governmental organization with registration number 0000NGO00006226, operating in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, since its establishment in 2013, E-MAC has been dedicated to supporting marginalized communities by providing them with opportunities for development in various sectors including water, sanitation and hygiene, environment, health, youth and employment.

Job Description: Project Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Project Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing our projects aimed at serving the marginalized. Your responsibilities will include project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. You will work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that make a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement project activities according to the project plan.
Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports.
Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure successful project execution.
Assist in budgeting and financial management for projects.
Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
Conduct field visits and provide on-ground support as needed.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Participate in project evaluations and incorporate lessons learned into future projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management and implementation. (3 years required)
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

Location: Arusha

Duration: Twelve (12) months
